History of Traxler Ltd.

The roots of Traxler Limited Hong Kong lead back to J. H. Trachsler Ltd., a Swiss trading house founded in 1899. J.H. Trachsler Ltd was present in Shanghai / China since 1932. A Hong Kong subsidiary was established in 1957, engaging in the export of Chinese embroideries as well as in the import of quality products from Switzerland, among others, Bolex cameras. After nearly 100 years of existence as an international trading house, J. H. Trachsler Ltd was, in 1992, localized in Hong Kong. From thereon, the company focused on professional photographic equipment with Broncolor and Gitzo as core business partners. In 1998, digital imaging products and solutions were added with the integration of Danish Graphics Technologies Limited, Hong Kong. In the year 2000, the company was renamed TRAXLER LIMITED. Under new ownership since 2003, the company opened a Beijing Representative Office in March 2004 and obtained exclusive distribution rights for Imacon ixpress digital backs. In September 2004, Shriro (H.K.) Ltd. acquired Traxler Limited's business and integrated the company's management team.
